RESUME
I feel as though I've gained quite a bit of experience through my time working in both client-facing jobs as well as jobs where you never see the clients of the products you make. I've always felt like technology was where I belonged, but I never knew where exactly I belonged in technology. Through the Arkansas Coding Academy, it helped me define where I want to be. My eventual goal is to be a developer. I want to create things. I don't care if those things are for a company or an individual; I just want to develop and expand my skill set to beyond what I'm capable of now.

SKILLS
Professional & Personal Experience
JAVA
I learned Java through the 3-month Java/SQL course at the Arkansas Coding Academy from January 2019 - April 2019. I'm a junior developer with the skills to later become a full-stack developer that I believe would be an asset to any company.
MYSQL
I learned MySQL through the 3-month Java/SQL course at the Arkansas Coding Academy from January 2019 - April 2019. I learned MySQL using the HeidiSQL administration tool and the SQL Power Architect tool for creating databases.
HTML5 & CSS3
I'm self-taught in HTML and CSS. I've only professionally used it in my final project, but I've played around with writing front-ends on my own since 2013.
PLAY FRAMEWORK
I learned the various languages used with Play Framework and the essentials of building a web application with the Arkansas Coding Academy. I used Java, MySQL, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and Scala to create a working app I named "storefully". Through that, I also have an understanding of Web APIs.
TEAMWORK
I believe I have a strong understanding of what it takes to work on a team and how to work with the different types of people that can make up teams. During my time in retail, I learned how to work with others to complete goals for the day given by management. With working in a factory, I learned teamwork was essential for making quality products and preventing down-time.
QUICK-LEARNER
I consider myself a quick learner from learning basic front-end design over the course of a summer out of school and through the knowledge I gained during the 3-month course at the Arkansas Coding Academy. I'm constantly trying to expand my skills and learn new languages while searching for employment.
